I’m Mike Matthews, a veteran full time freelance production sound mixer and location sound recordist. I’m an IATSE Local 488 member but I can also work non-union gigs.

With over 220 credits as a freelance location audio mixer over the last 16 years, I’ve worked as a sound mixer for every major network and streaming service including CBS, Paramount, Netflix, Disney, Nat Geo, Discovery, PBS, Outdoor Channel, the History Channel, OLN, ABC and more.  I have top of the line sound equipment,  excellent references and lots of recent experience on reality TV, docs, features, interviews, commercials and shorts.  I also have an MFA in digital film making, a great attitude and would love to talk to you about your next project.
